Ofarim and Tsofim

Join Camp Young Judaea Sprout Lake for Spring Camp 2008, March 28th-30th! Camp is heated, and ready for YOU!

Spring Camp at Sprout Lake is a Shabbaton weekend sponsored by Sprout Lake and the Northeast Regions of Young Judaea, open to kids in grades 2- 7. If you are new to Sprout Lake, this is a great time to get to know camp and meet new friends.  If you are a current camper, this is a great opportunity to see all your old camp friends, and meet new friends! Those of you who have attended Spring / Fall camp spread the word about how much fun it is!

Spring Camp provides a Shabbat friendly, fun weekend for kids from all over the Northeast! Bus transportation will be provided.

Registration for Spring Camp is available online through the Sprout Lake website! If you want to make sure you receive information about Spring Camp, please call 212-451-6233 or email campsproutlake@youngjudaea.org

Bogrim

In January, some of our Bogrim attended a great Israeli Hip Hop concert- Coolooloosh. Emilie Seckel attended the National Convention in Texas in February and was elected to the National Board.  We will be forming our club board this spring. Please contact Peter or Mindy Seckel if you will be in high school next year and are interested in helping run our Young Judaea Club.

Next month two exciting events will take place. The first is the Spring Convention which will be at Sprout Lake on April 11th through April 13th. Sign up, make new friends and have a great time while you celebrate Shabbat “Young Judaean style”. You can register on the web site- www.youngjudaea.org.  Also on April 13, teens (and adults) from all over the Philadelphia area will be participating in J Serve- a Jewish community effort to combat hunger. Those who attend convention will be taken directly to J Serve from Camp Sprout. All others who want to volunteer please contact Mindy Seckel for further information. We will be sending details about these events by email.

Young Judaea’s year-round programs provide Jewish youth of all denominations with a positive Jewish experience and foster a close identity with Israel through stories, games, field trips, Shabbat experiences, social events, and exposure to Jewish and Israeli culture. Make friends in the Mercer / Bucks area and have fun!
