L’shanah Tovah!

        The Holiday season is well under way and Men’s Club is back to business! Thanks to everyone who lent a hand and helped our synagogue family prepare for this year’s high holidays. Hope everyone had fun pitching in to erect the Sukkah this year. Again, big thanks goes out to Steve Stinus for being the lead man on the Sukkah building team, and for all of his hard work.

        This year, more than ever, is the time to get involved with Men’s Club. We have many opportunities for those who would like to get involved. We need you to help keep Men’s Club alive and strong!

Please join us for Sunday Morning minyan, which starts promptly at 9:20am.

Minyan is held every Sunday, when Hebrew School is in session.

Thank you to everyone who already supported Men’s Club this year. Please remember to send in your applications, and dues and help support us. Through your generous donations, we are able to bring you our many programs.

The Israel Forum has many exciting programs in the following months.

        The Israel Forum Group will meet next on Tuesday October 7^th and hosting a brunch with a guest speaker on Sunday, October 19th. The group meets monthly and also hosts speakers for special programs. Those who are interested in the survival of the State of Israel are urged to join. The group is open to all members, friends and relatives. The Forum meets to discuss and hear from others the critical issues facing Israel today. Men’s Club is always looking for volunteers to help with Ushering at Shabbat Services. Please speak to Mike Dubrow, our Head Usher, if you would like to volunteer, and there is a signup sheet in the office.

                        There are many exciting events planned this year from Men’s Club.

o        Kosher Dine-Around  

o        Walking Tour of Philadelphia – (supported by your Yom Hashoah candle program)

o        Men’s Club / Sisterhood Comedy Night at Catch a Rising Star.

o        Our first Family Greenwood House minyan is scheduled for November 19^th.

o        Bowling night

o        Karaoke night!!!

  Now is the time to share any ideas you may have for our future events. Look for our reminders when you read your Shabbat Shalom, to keep up with very latest on what’s happening with your Men’s Club.

                        Are you having simcha in the Synagogue this year? A Bar or Bat Mitzvah?
